Las Vegas is a city that was designed for the short break getaway. No one plans a two-week holiday in Las Vegas. The overriding idea at work here is to get in, hopefully not lose all your money and get back to your regular life with a pocketful of good memories.
In the meantime, you can fill every hour of the day and night with gambling, favorite online casinos, shopping, world-class shows and lounging by the pool. The dining scene in Vegas is extraordinary, so save some cash to spoil yourself at least once. The same holds true of classy bars and clubs like the Bank, PURE or Tabu.
Efficient use of your time is maximised in Vegas because few venues actually close. This allows visitors on a short weekend getaway to get the most out of their trip. The moment your feet hit the flashing pavement of the Strip, you can be off and running regardless of the hour. The only real downside to quick Las Vegas breaks is the distance from the UK and the time involved getting here.
Direct flights from the UK to Vegas are available on Virgin Atlantic and British Airways, but still take around 11 hours. There’s no faster way to get to the casinos here. But you can also play your favorite online casinos without leaving your home. The alternative of a cheaper, indirect flight will consume at least 17 hours of travel time, not to mention the energy involved in changing planes and hanging around airport terminals.
That being said, if you put yourself in the right frame of mind, Las Vegas is the perfect destination to arrange a short break and gambling at land-based casinos as well as playing favorite online casinos. Two and three-night packages are standard fare at all of the resorts along the Strip, where surprisingly cheap room rates along with goodies such as free tickets to shows or discounts at the resort’s facilities are often available. These room-only deals can be found online directly from the resort or you can search for a package that includes air travel and hotel.
There’s no shortage of things to see and do in Las Vegas. The only limitations are your budget and time. Most people plan to do at least a little gambling, and casinos are available everywhere you turn. Play your favorite online casinos at any hotel you stay without bans. Since online casinos are open 24 hours, you can easily fit in an hour of slots or some time at the tables in between other attractions.
During the day, there are loads of things to see right on the Strip. From museums like Madam Tussauds House of Wax to the Dolphin Habitat show at the Mirage, the options range from wildlife to thrill rides. Ride the roller coaster at New York New York or one of the adrenalin pumpers at the Stratosphere. These attractions all cost money to enjoy so plan accordingly.
Plenty of freebies are on hand as well, if you have a bad night in the casino. Simply cruising around the Strip is a hoot. All of the resorts are open to the public, so make time to explore the opulence of the Bellagio or the whimsy of Excalibur. Of course, perhaps the best thing to do during the day is to simply spread out by your hotel pool and soak in the desert sun.
After dark is when you can pick a show or two to enjoy. Tickets don’t come cheap, but the quality is top-flight. Whether it’s the strange Blue Man Group, the illusions of Criss Angel or a concert by your favourite singer, there is at least a dozen or more tempting performances every night of the year.
Dining is another highlight of an evening in Vegas. The cuisine here is outstanding by any standard and there are dozens of exciting restaurants to choose from. You can guarantee the hottest spots will be booked weeks in advance so pick a couple and make your reservations.
